LEAVE COMPETITORS IN YOUR DUST WITH THIS ONE PLAY
I have a deep and powerful Etsy addiction. I love Makers, I love one-of-a-kind gifts, and am a die-hard fan of the strange and eclectic. I have daydreamed many times about just climbing inside of my Etsy app so that I could roll around in custom hoodies and live out my original-art fantasies. Imagine!
Turns out we don’t have to imagine – earlier this month, The Etsy House made its debut online. It is a genuinely lovely immersive commerce experience, allowing the customer to navigate through an impressively curated 3D home. Items are easily explorable, but tags denoting purchasable products are understated and do not distract from the ambience.
The Blank Slate
"Ambience” is an interesting descriptor of a virtual space, but that is secret. A Salesforce study shows that 80% of business customers and consumers say that the experience of buying is as or more important as the product purchased. That, my friends, is ambience, and it is absolutely digitally attainable.
The digital universe is, for better or for worse, a clean canvas. How a brand occupies that space makes all the difference in the world, so choosing your designers, developers, and creators matters like never before. With the viral nature of everything today, including commerce, a partner that has your back is essential to success, both culturally and fiscally.
The Looking Glass
All of these screens – desktop, laptop, phone, tablet – we gaze at and into them endlessly. How do you pull your customers in, how do you engage with them in ways that make them feel seen? There are obvious and immediate benefits to simply engaging new technology; the addition of a 3D configurator on a brand's website delivered a 30% increase in conversion and a 50% reduction in returns.
We at TechSparq love technology, obviously. ROI is crucial, and immersive commerce delivers. That extra bit of magic, though, is what leads to wonderland. The essence of your brand, the vibe, the feeling it stirs in your customers is the golden thread that must be woven throughout your technology stack, your marketing, your employees, and both your internal and external messaging.
Choose your makers wisely.
